Turning Hope into Action: Now & Next Parent Quest
From identifying core strengths to setting and achieving meaningful goals, the launch of Now & Next Parent Quest brought together 20 participants this fall. Joining us from New Zealand, co-founder Dr. Annick Janson guided the program, designed as a companion to Now & Next Youth. Throughout the sessions, parents were encouraged to harness their personal strengths, set clear goals, and coach one another toward achieving them.

“I’ve done goal planning before, but to start with strengths has really sharpened my mind,” shared one parent.
“This should be mandatory for anybody who needs to have this help with their life,” added another.
The program was an opportunity for parents to pause, reflect, and recognize the strengths they already possess. One parent described how the strengths exercise sparked meaningful conversations within their own family, including their child – a Now & Next Youth alumni. Reflecting on their strength of perspective, they shared: “everyone has a story, and it’s just as important as yours.”
Now & Next alumni stay connected through a growing parent network, turning shared experience into lifelong support. They join parents and youth across seven countries who have participated in the suite of Now & Next programs.
